Month 2: Nouba Millebaci Lipstick in #51

It’s month two of Charlotte’s ‘One Beauty Product A Month” challenge. It’s tough. Very tough. Each time I walk into the beauty aisle in my local supermarket, I feel the need to buy something, but I don’t. It’s weird to think that, not too long ago, the only things I would put on my face in terms of makeup would be powder and mascara (cute, young Charlotte), and now, I’m researching so many different products each month, just to make sure I’m making the right decision.

This month, however, was an easy one. The Nouba Millebaci in #51 had caught my eye a while ago, and I was tired of using the mini Bare Minerals Marvellous Moxie Lipstick in Take Charge. So, I marched down to my local store (PM Studio in Waterloo) and bought the #51 for $32AUD.

Bare Minerals

Now, for those of you who know me, you’ll know that I am obsessed with red lipstick (but not the orange-red, more the blue-red). So it was a bit of a surprise to find myself lusting after this nude lipstick. I had received the mini Bare Minerals Marvellous Moxie Lipstick in Take Charge in my Mecca Maxima Beauty Loop box, and had become obsessed with it. The fact that I could wear a lipstick that made it look like I wasn’t really wearing lipstick was awesome. It might not make much sense, but I liked that it gave my lips that extra bit of colour.

Nouba Millebaci

Nouba is a fairly new brand to me. I bought the Millebaci in #7 (a really bright red), and loved how the colour never faded or smudged. I’ve been on this sort of quest I guess to find the best long-lasting lipstick. Australis can get quite dry, Kat Von D smudges, Rimmel is actually too difficult to remove, and Stila goes away with oil (and a lot of the food I eat contains a bit of oil). Nouba Millebaci stays. It’s not drying. It’s easy to remove. And the colours are stunning.
