On Tuesday night, we headed out to Bondi Hardware’s 5th birthday party, along with 200 other bloggers, celebrities, media, and locals. The part was also a chance for us to celebrate Bondi Hardware’s relaunch, seeing as SoCal’s summer-long takeover had come to an end. The space was pretty much the same, but there were hints of boho and greenery dotted around, making the space feel a little bit more laid back.
We were treated to two great cocktails: Garden Party (blueberry-infused Beefeater Gin, elderflower liqueur, basil, lemon, vanilla, rhubarb bitters), and Young Cuban (Havana 3-year-old Rum, Aperol, lime, fresh mint, sparkling wine). Of course I tried both, and they were delightful! The venue also had flowing wine and beer, so I ended up also having a prosecco (hey, I did just honeymoon in Italy!). The cocktails were a perfect mix way to say goodbye to summer and welcome autumn.
We were happy to see a new menu on offer, which included sriracha buttermilk fried chicken slider (yum yum yum!), crispy lamb salad, hummus, feta, Israeli couscous, pear, mint yoghurt (DOUBLE YUM!) and feta & sundried tomato polenta bites with basil sour cream (so good).
The tunes were great, the drinks were so lovely, and the food warmed us up before we headed out into the rainy Tuesday night. The venue itself was buzzing, with people lining up to take photos of the drinks and setup. Check out our photos below!
